Sustainability in Rio+20 Organization
In order to ensure that Rio +20 follows the pillars of sustainable development, the Brazilian government created a Coordination of Sustainability, in National Organizing Committee´s context. The Coordination aims on analyzing and proposing actions to reduce, mitigate or compensate social and environmental impacts generated by the Conference.
The actions are organized into nine dimensions: Management of Greenhouse Gases Emission, Water Resources, Solid Waste, Energy, Transportation, Sustainable Construction, Sustainable Procurement, Sustainable Tourism and Sustainable Food.
