Holistic Perspective on Health-Family Restructuring
After being discharged from the hospital, many children were
hospitalized again in a more critical condition due to the lack of
proper family care. This very common situation would happen because
these children’s families could not afford to buy medication and food so
that they could continue at home the treatment initiated at the
hospital. The families then began to be referred to the Children’s
Health Association, where they received information about health, family
income, housing, education, and citizenship. At the same time they
would receive psychological, psychiatric, and nutritional guidance, as
well as donations of medicine, food, and domestic, orthopedic, and
breathing machines.
