The Association for Promoting Recovery and Exceptional (AVAPE) was established in 1982 with the aim to enhance and promote the handicapped person.

Social and Professional Inclusion of People with DisabilitiesThe AVAPE was created in 1982 with the goal of valuing and promoting people with disabilities. The institution performs its work through programs and social projects in the areas of social assistance, health, work, professional training, culture, and leisure. The programs and projects focus on prevention, treatment, professional training, and placement in the job market.

Association for the Appreciation and Promotion of People with Special Needs (AVAPE – Associação para Valorização e Promoção de Excepcionais)


Partnering institution:
Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) via the Multilateral Investment Fund (MIF).
