Obirin Lonan Project
Recife against illiteracy rate among young women
The Obirin Lonan Project seeks to lower the illiteracy rate among
young women; increase their chances in the professional world; and
reintegrate them into their families, schools, and communities. The
project’s goal is to improve these women’s lives, 80 percent of whom are
black, and promote their social inclusion.
