Association promotes productive, social and financial inclusion
Women of a less favored region in Vitória, state of Espírito Santo,
started a production group in 2003 and created ARTIDEIAS to promote productive,
social and financial inclusion, and to develop self-management in the attempt
to attain cooperation, solidarity and the equal distribution of the results. By
lending money to other groups that were emerging, they undertook the first
action of a community bank. The communities of the region became involved and
founded a community development bank named Banco Bem, which fosters the local
and sustainable development of the communities involved.
