Creating
audiovisual materials on African-Brazilian history and culture;
appreciating the value of inclusive initiatives, making visible the
affirmative actions that have been already promoted by the society; and
contributing to the creation of inclusive pedagogical practices. These
are the broadest aims behind the Project, which appreciate the value of
the public school as a reference in the construction of positive
collective and individual identities.
The Project envisions a series of cultural and educational activities with a focus on the production and dissemination of programs on the history of the contributions of the black population to the Brazilian society. These products will be transformed into didactical materials, applied and distributed to the public schools; and they shall increase the knowledge and the comprehension of the history of African descendants and of Africa, thus contributing to the objectives established by Act 10,639.

Equality.
Video and other resources:
This Project has a website with several resources.
The didactic books are very illustrative, such as the dictionary
entitled “Memory of the Words” (“Memória das
Palavras”), which brings words of an African origin. And if it is
possible to exhibit audiovisual products, we can make available the
series ‘Everybody’s Heroes’ (“Heróis de
Todo Mundo”), a series that tells the history of the black heroes
of Brazil.
