Health
To access publc health services, one must show identification documents such as ID / ("RG"), driver's license or passport. Foreigners and Brazilians receive services free of charge, upon presentation of appropriate documentation.

Anti-tobacco legislation
In Rio de Janeiro, smoke-free laws are quite strict. Smoking is not allowed in any enclosed environment (except hotel rooms specifically designated as such), or in covered environments without walls, such as under awnings or covered parking. The law stipulates fines of up to 30 thousand reais for establishments that fail to comply.
