The third day of workshops given by Sebrae at the United Nations Conference on Sustainable Development, Rio +20, showed that Brazilian businessmen want to be included on the agenda of sustainability. More than eight thousand people have been through the Space Sebrae of Education, built at Parque do Flamengo, since June 15.

Interested in the topic and with an eye on the profitability that the green economy brings to the business, the entrepreneur Gian Paul Bonaccorsi left satisfied with the training. "Workshops like these are very important for entrepreneurs because it is an opportunity to exchange experiences, to deepen the subject, learn and get into the right direction," he praised. Owner of a homeopathic pharmacy, he said he will implement green actions in his business’ routine. "In addition to more profit, I can exercise my citizenship because sustainability is the responsibility of us all."

The training, which lasts for two hours, have topics related to sustainability, such as energy efficiency, waste reduction, solid waste policy, sustainable business practices, among others.

The person responsible Space Sebrae for Education, Flávia Azevedo, explained that the green actions are responsible for companies’ profitability. "The demand for the workshops meets our expectations. When betting on sustainability, entrepreneurs contribute to the environment and expand into other markets. "

The Space Sebrae for Education includes lectures, workshops and technological clinics on solid waste, energy efficiency, environmental certification, waste reduction and green business. The journalist Ricardo Voltolini, the light specialist Peter Gasper and the economist Sergio Besserman are among the guests.

Admission is free of charge and must be made at Sebrae’s website for Rio+20. There are 100 vacancies for each lecture and 30 places for the workshops. It is important to arrive 15 minutes in advance to confirm the presence in the activity; otherwise the vacancy will be transferred to other businessmen/women.
