Wall of good intentions is under construction at MAM
"The future that I want has sustainable agriculture. In it, agroecology supplants monocultures. I dream of gardens in homes and collective urban places to overcome hunger," said Isabela Sattamini, 23, nutritionist, volunteer at the space" The Future That We Want ".
Isabela is part of a group of nine young volunteers that, from June 12-23, will guide visitors in visiting the exhibition at Rio de Janeiro’s Museum of Modern Art (MAM).
Soon after the official opening of the space, the girl made sure to write her idea and stick it on the wall over the word 'hunger' in the large panel.
The Consul General of Japan, Masaru Wanatabe also contributed to the panel. When he turned the wheel with the seven main topics proposed for the global conversation - Water, Jobs, Oceans, Energy, Cities, Food, Water, Disasters – he got the word "disasters".
He wrote in Japanese: “we will do everything possible to prevent natural disasters. We have the experience," he said thrilled to stick his paper over the word tsunami on the wall.
The great advantage of the campaign is to focus on dreams, on the positive. "When we collectively think, we realize that there are many more things that unite us than things that divide us in this world," said Giancarlo Summa, director of the United Nations Information Center (UNIC).
