Project Onde Moras has the
goal of providing decent housing to low-income families at a 50%-lower cost. It
aims at the reduction of the housing deficit and of environmental degradation
through the reuse of construction materials, which also means a decisive role played
by the program in terms of environmental conservation. It establishes
partnerships that allow a reduction in the construction costs of houses through
the donation of new or used materials, and by using the working force of the
beneficiary families and volunteers, in a system of assisted self-construction,
thus producing social inclusion and the appreciation of the value of the human
being.
