Babassu is Life
The objective is improve the quality of life
After a Mothers-Day meeting, the reality of extreme poverty and
suffering led the local women who live from breaking coconuts of the
babassu
palm to fight for better days. They sought partnerships and
through several meetings set up a project with the
support of governmental bodies and of the civil society. The goal is to
improve the quality of life for these women as they earn their
living as coconut breakers.
